Dear Reader,

As we prepare to celebrate Pesach in a few days, we find ourselves at one of the highlights of the Jewish calendar. Seder night is the pinnacle of Pesach and an overriding theme during the Seder night, is that of questions and answers.

The best way for self-growth and exploring Judaism is through asking questions.  What better way to address questions than during your PaL learning sessions?

You can find out about events of interest in our Round Up below.  Or you could simply decide to pick up a new Jewish book to study - take a look at the new releases we've highlighted.

Wishing you all a chag kasher vesameach!

Warm regards

Questions from the PaL Mailbag...

Q: I am thinking about how to go about restocking my kitchen after Pesach, and was wondering is it permissible to do an online grocery order to be delivered to my home the morning after Pesach ends?

A: As well as forbidding the consumption of chametz during Pesach, the Torah prohibits owning it for the duration of the festival.  Of course, once Pesach is over, many people will want to restock their cupboards with chametz foods.  The question is does pre-ordering a grocery delivery containing chametz to be delivered the morning after Pesach ends, fall foul of the prohibition of owning chametz during Pesach.

When ordering groceries in this way, the purchaser's account is debited no earlier than when the items are selected from the warehouse.  This means that provided the items aren't scheduled for delivery immediately after Yom Tov (I'd organise it for the next morning), this is permitted.
